Fast moving clouds and occasional rain threatened to spoil my view of the Harvest Moon but a lucky break allowed me to take some images.
Harvest Moon
I haven't been able to get out and do much astronomy recently but seeing as it was the Harvest Moon tonight I thought I would try and get out with my camera and see what I could do. Although there was some thick cloud moving through I got a few clear spells during a 10 minute window when I could get the Moon. It was beautifully bright and hanging nicely above the building next to me - very atmospheric with the fast moving clouds. I put my camera up to 16.5x optical zoom and got a few nice shots which I've slightly contrast boosted back at my computer.
