Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE
Another opportunity presented itself with reasonably clear skies. Before leaving the house I'd noted that the comet was just visible between two trees above the house. Rather than a big drive I wanted to see what the views were like of the Comet looking over the Ochils hills. I drove over to the Blackfaulds road which overlooks Strathdevon. The quality of the view was marred slightly by the bright lights at Marchglen.
There were some clouds drifting eastward on a reasonably strong wind but I was treated to a few good periods with Comet NEOWISE clearly visible above the hills. I was able to get both the cameras trained on the comet with the 450D tripod mounted and the 6D sitting on the EQ5 mount (albeit without an attachment due to a packing mix-up!).
